Bitte Hammargren. Med en bakgrund i journalistiken har Bitte mer än 40 års erfarenhet från Mellanöstern och Nordafrika, samt mer än 30 års erfarenhet från Turkiet. Hon har i artiklar, böcker, rapporter och föreläsningar skildrat regionen ur olika aspekter och kommenterar ofta Mellanösternfrågor i svenska och utländska medier.
Hon var Svenska Dagbladets Turkiet- och Mellanösternkorrespondent 2001–2012, tidvis baserad i Beirut respektive Istanbul. Hon arbetade som analytiker samt ledde UI:s Mellanöstern- och Nordafrikaprogram 2017–2018. Åren 2018–2020 arbetade hon som säkerhetspolitisk analytiker på Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut FOI. Hon har vidare haft analysuppdrag för bland annat Center mot våldsbejakande extremism (CVE) och Svenska Institutet (SI). Sedan 2020 är hon fri skribent och Mellanösternanalytiker.
Bitte är författare av Drama utan slut: Turkiet 100 år(Bokförlaget Atlas 2023), med foto av Stefan Bladh, och Gulfen: En framtida krutdurk (Leopard förlag, 2014 och en 2:a uppdaterad utgåva 2015), samt medförfattare till en rad andra böcker på svenska och rapportförfattare på engelska.
Hon har en fil kand från 1981, tog examen från Journalisthögskolan 1985 och har läst ytterligare universitetskurser i arabiska.
Hon är mottagare av Publicistklubbens stora pris 2008 samt av Arguspriset för humaniora 2017.
Ann Dismorr joined the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1981 and is currentlyHead of Mission, Swedish Embassy to Lebanon ( since Sep 2020) and Chargé d’Affaires, Swedish Embassy in Syria ( since Sep 2020). Just before that , she was the Director of the Middle East and North Africa Department (2015-2020). Between 1993–1997 she was Diplomatic Advisor to the Swedish Special Envoy to the Israeli-Palestinian Peace talks. She has served as Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Turkey and Kenya. Her book “Turkey Decoded (2008) examines Turkey’s affiliation with Europe and its role in the Middle East. Ambassador Dismorr has also been Head of the International Department at the Swedish Parliament. Between 2012–2014 Ann Dismorr was Director of UNRWA in Lebanon. Thereafter she served as Counter-Terrorism Ambassador at the Security Policy Department. Ambassador Dismorr has been a member of The Nordic Women Mediators since its founding. She holds a postgraduate degree in political science from the universities of Stockholm, Gothenburg and Yale.
Ove Bring anställdes 1975 på UD som folkrättsexpert och blev jur. dr. 1979 på en avhandling om det västerländska investeringsskyddet och u-länderna. Folkrättsrådgivare och departementsråd på UD 1987 – 1993, därefter professor i internationell rätt vid Uppsala universitet, Stockholms universitet och Försvarshögskolan under perioden 1993-2008. Numera författare och innehavare av Dalhem International Law AB. Bland senaste årens boktitlar: ”Kvinnor och kungar – om krig och fred. Fredsaktivism och kungamakt på Bernadotternas tid”, “Anfallskrigens argument. Konsten att rättfärdiga våld”.
Mats Liljefors, leader of the Queen Christina project, has been Professor of Music at the Moorhead State University, Minnesota, founder and artistic director of Musik på Slottet in Stockholm from 1970 to 2015. From 1992 until 2010 he was First Guest Conductor of the St. Petersburg Hermitage Orchestra and 2010-2014 the same of the St. Peterburg Academy Orchestra of the Philharmony.
